Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to receive, deliver, and move materials between manufacturing buildings
• Receive orders from production lines and deliver requested materials
• Unload incoming cargo containers and move materials throughout the facility
• Assist in month-end counting and accuracy verification of inventory records
• Prioritize orders and determine delivery sequence based on production needs
• Communicate with internal customers and record order information
• Move unused glass and PVC materials to appropriate waste or reuse areas

Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively
• Ability to read, write, and speak simple English for a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read production tags, paperwork, and safety warning labels
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th inch
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, glass, and vinyl dust
