Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers to transport materials, supplies, and finished products.
• Identify, receive, and store products in designated secure locations.
• Assist other departments with the movement of machines, loading docks, and storage area organization.
• Validate shipping details for quality and accuracy and review accompanying documentation.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by properly disposing of scrap, cardboard, and strapping.
• Coordinate with team leaders to provide forklift operations that support production needs.
• Work a weekend shift consisting of 12-hour days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch on hard surfaces for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn to use an Oracle MSCA scanner.
• Ability to obtain a fork truck license through the company certification program.
• One to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• College coursework or formal training in a related field.
