Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive and move materials to designated storage areas
• Stage inventory and maintain kitting systems for parts and orders using production schedules
• Utilize pick lists to pull and kit all parts necessary for assigned production and project orders
• Follow priority dispatch lists to ensure timely material issue resolution and shipping commitments
• Maintain accuracy of KanBan cards, material transactions, and inventory levels
• Complete timely reports and logs, accounting for replenishment orders, shortages, and JDE transactions
• Perform daily cycle counts, major variance root cause analysis, and assist with annual physical inventory
• Conduct tests and inspections of products to verify conformance to specifications
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
• Work with Engineering on the phase-in/phase-out of materials and correction of bills of material

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-2 years of related experience in material handling or shipping and receiving
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, including the use of fractions, proportions, and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, diagrams, and procedure manuals
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
