Material Handler 1

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders using bills of lading and shipment documentation
• Package, label, and stage materials for shipment or pickup
• Load and unload materials including glass, metal products, doors, and frames
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage
• Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas using 5S standards
• Safely and properly stock inventory and participate in cycle counts

Requirements

• Prior experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8–10 hours per shift
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions (heat, cold, humidity)
• Forklift certification is a plus
