Material Handler 1

Responsibilities

• Verify received items by matching product descriptions, quantities, packaging units, and expiration dates using RF devices or putaway documents
• Break down products into correct selling units and place them in designated stocking locations
• Manage stock rotation to ensure items with expiration dates are handled correctly
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged products to the team lead or supervisor
• Utilize RF technology and other warehouse tools such as hand jacks, utility knives, and pallet jacks
• Support various distribution functions including receiving and picking as needed

Requirements

• Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
• Computer literacy and ability to learn RF technology
• High attention to detail to differentiate products with similar characteristics
• Ability to lift, carry, or move products up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, and kneel on concrete for extended periods
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in basic warehousing operations
