Material Group Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline leadership for material handling teams to ensure safe and reliable material flow to the production line
• Champion a safety-first culture through coaching, safety talks, and managing incident reporting processes
• Manage material availability by overseeing inventory levels, min/max controls, and FIFO compliance
• Lead daily manpower planning, scheduling, and team huddles to drive performance and engagement
• Utilize GMS tools, including BPD, layered audits, and standardized work, to drive continuous improvement
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality, and production to resolve equipment or material issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, material handling, logistics, or supply chain
• Demonstrated knowledge of material flow and inventory control practices
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or eligible for export control authorization
• Strong coaching and communication skills to lead diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior people leadership responsibility or experience as a Group Leader or Team Leader
• Hands-on experience with GMS tools such as BPD, SPQRCE, and practical problem solving
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects focused on cost, delivery, safety, or quality
