Responsibilities

• Monitor and track open purchase orders and material deliveries to ensure alignment with production schedules
• Proactively identify material shortages, late deliveries, or supply chain risks
• Expedite critical materials by coordinating with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams regarding technical requirements and BOM changes
• Maintain accurate status updates within ERP/MRP systems
• Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production ramp-ups
• Work with manufacturing and warehouse teams to prioritize incoming materials
• Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations, ITAR, and DFARS requirements
• Generate and analyze material status reports
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to receiving, documentation, or supplier performance

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning
• Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or high-tech manufacturing
• Familiarity with DoD procurement and compliance standards (ITAR, DFARS)
• Forklift certification or experience managing physical inventory
• Experience supporting prototype builds or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
