Material/Equipment Quality Inspector - Industrial

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and equipment to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and purchase orders
• Confirm material traceability by verifying heat numbers, serial numbers, MTRs/MTCs, and required certifications
• Document all inspections in logs and digital systems to maintain audit-ready records
• Identify, document, and coordinate the resolution of nonconforming materials through tagging, segregation, and NCR initiation
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper handling and storage of materials requiring special conditions
• Support the implementation of project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Prepare and organize receiving-related documentation for project turnover packages

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in construction quality, inspection, or material receiving
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and material certifications
• Experience with material traceability and receiving inspection processes
• Familiarity with quality systems, ITPs, and NCR processes
• Ability to travel and relocate based on project demands

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on large industrial, manufacturing, power, or EPC projects
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or civil material types and industry standards
• Previous experience within a Kiewit district or similar self-perform construction environment
