Material Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Compute material requirements for job orders and review production schedules to ensure raw material adequacy.
• Requisition materials and establish delivery dates to departments based on production plans and priorities.
• Verify that delivered materials conform to specifications and arrange in-plant transfers to meet schedules.
• Maintain accurate manual and computerized records, including inventory, production reports, and material locations.
• Administer the inventory cycle count program, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze reports.
• Monitor and control the movement of parts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Analyze stock usage, define correct stocking levels, and investigate unusual material usage.
• Verify the accuracy of material kits against pick lists and track defect levels.

Requirements

• Secondary school completion, vocational training, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in materials, planning, or a related function.
• Proficiency in office software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database systems.
• Experience with ERP systems (such as BAAN) or similar computer applications.
• Hands-on experience with inventory cycle counting.
