About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for production, construction, and assembly teams to resolve urgent resource needs
  • Interface between Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, and Design to support time-sensitive priorities
  • Modify work orders and initiate material kitting in coordination with the warehouse team
  • Coordinate the logistics of material flow through the factory to prevent material stoppages
  • Monitor material readiness and collaborate with procurement and planning to mitigate downtime caused by shortages
  • Utilize shop floor applications to manage resource workloads and maintain work order status reports

Requirements

  • General understanding of shop floor applications and quality system functionality
  • Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office or G-Suite applications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with manufacturing and supply chain personnel
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical activities including stooping, standing, and working on ladders or scissor lifts for extended periods
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment containing heat, noise, fumes, strong magnets, and high voltage
  • Willingness to work second shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM) and occasional nights, weekends, or on-call shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a technician role
