Material Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control, material planning, and distribution to support production schedules
• Compute material requirements for job orders and review production schedules with purchasing
• Requisition materials and establish delivery dates to departments based on priority and availability
• Verify material conformance to specifications upon delivery to production departments
• Arrange in-plant transfers of materials to meet production timelines
• Maintain manual and computerized records, including inventory, production reports, and material status
• Administer the inventory cycle count program, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze reports
• Monitor stock usage, define correct stocking levels, and investigate unusual usage patterns
• Verify accuracy of material kits against pick lists to ensure correct parts and packaging

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of general clerical experience
• Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems
• Experience with ERP systems (BAAN preferred)
• Experience with inventory cycle counting
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong communication skills for presenting information to customers and team members
