About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead an hourly unionized team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
- Drive operational excellence by meeting objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, and Absenteeism.
- Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance.
- Utilize data and insights to reduce downtime and quality defects, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance productivity.
- Manage conflict resolution and build strong working relationships with team members, suppliers, and union representatives.
- Prioritize critical tasks and allocate human resources effectively to maximize warehouse efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in supervisory roles, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Military Leadership experience.
- Experience with SAP, ERP, or WMS systems.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodology or the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
