About the role
Responsibilities
- Hand-paint high quality textures for a variety of organic and structural surfaces
- Author and enhance Materials in Unreal Engine for the production team to use
- Unwrap and texture 3D assets
- Establish material workflows and pipelines to ensure high-fidelity and visual continuity
- Evaluate material and texture performance and provide optimization solutions
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to resolve technical and creative difficulties
Requirements
- Professional experience within 3D game production focusing on materials and textures
- Exceptional digital painting skills and artistic sensibility
- Proficiency with Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, 3D Modelling Tools, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Skills in establishing workflows and pipelines for material and texture creation
- Strong eye for quality control and detail
- Passion for architecture, design, and art
- Ability to take direction and provide/receive constructive feedback
