About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate models to map engraving temperatures through forging simulations considering relevant heat transfer mechanisms
- Identify and spatially assign engraving areas with different thermal behavior in the forging process
- Calculate the temporal development of engraving temperatures over a defined forging cycle under varying production conditions
- Build a database considering varying and process-related fluctuating parameters and boundary conditions
- Perform statistical evaluation of simulation results and assess key influencing factors on temperature development
Requirements
- Enrolled student in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Materials Science, or similar
- Basic knowledge of forming technology and thermomechanics
- Ideally experience or knowledge in FEM simulation
- Interest in complex thermal and physical relationships in industrial processes
- Ability to link theoretical models with practical industrial questions
