About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform requirement engineering to define technical specifications for the blocker device, balancing signature reduction with mechanical and aerodynamic constraints
- Conduct state-of-the-art analysis by evaluating existing designs and current material-based solutions in the aerospace industry
- Design multi-layer components by selecting suitable absorbent materials and analyzing their impact on mechanical and electromagnetic properties
- Execute numerical simulations and verification using advanced tools to validate design performance
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
- Solid understanding of material properties and an interest in electromagnetic design
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or wave physics (electromagnetic or thermal)
- Experience with numerical simulation methods such as FEM, CFD, or Computational Electromagnetics
- Strong analytical thinking skills to solve complex, multi-physics problems
- Proficiency in German for communicating technical results
