About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability
- Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion
- Monitor Work-In-Process (WIP) and adjust schedules to address bottlenecks, equipment downtime, or labor constraints
- Partner with production teams to ensure materials, tooling, and resources are available and prioritize jobs based on business needs
- Track production performance metrics including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase scheduling efficiency and reduce lead times
- Update production systems and provide regular reporting metrics to production teams
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling within an operations or manufacturing environment
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-focused area preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, routing, and capacity planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of inventory management and demand planning
