About the role
Responsibilities
- Create a rolling 3-6 month Master Production Plan for purchased and manufactured parts based on capacity, sales forecasts, and customer ship dates.
- Facilitate communication between internal and global teams to identify risks in the master production plan and manufacturing lead times.
- Perform quarterly supply-demand analysis to highlight potential concerns for the upcoming 12 months.
- Develop inventory targets and manage production using MRP systems to optimize lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock.
- Coordinate with Planners to execute weekly and monthly production plans.
- Monitor actual versus planned production, identify gaps, and drive solutions to improve performance.
- Review sales forecasts with plant and sales groups monthly to suggest modifications based on demand trends.
- Work with Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to schedule large custom projects.
- Communicate proactively with customers and suppliers to resolve issues impacting shipping schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Business or Technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Scheduler.
- Proven experience with inventory control and supply chain processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and various computer software applications, including spreadsheets and database software.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and business documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting to management and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS certification (CPIM or CPM).
- Experience with CIRM.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and multi-disciplined problem-solving.
