Master Plumber

Responsibilities

• Serve as the licensed Master Plumber for the facility, ensuring compliance with Texas State Plumbing Code and municipal requirements
• Install, inspect, repair, service, and maintain plumbing systems including domestic water, DWV systems, hot water heaters, and backflow prevention
• Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, pressure issues, and system failures
• Supervise and verify plumbing work performed by apprentices, journeymen, or contractors
• Support general facilities maintenance and perform routine inspections to identify deficiencies
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and coordinate with other trades and subcontractors
• Maintain documentation of inspections, repairs, and corrective actions
• Ensure all work complies with site safety programs, including lock-out/tag-out and confined-space procedures

Requirements

• Active Texas Master Plumber license issued by the TSBPE
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional plumbing
• Demonstrated experience working with temporary, modular, or prefabricated structures
• Strong knowledge of the Texas State Plumbing Code
• Experience supporting high-occupancy residential or workforce accommodation facilities
• Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and perform hands-on plumbing work
