Master Planning & Urban Design Expert

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and enhance master plans for large-scale industrial and economic zones.
• Apply urban design principles to land-use planning, zoning, circulation, and infrastructure sequencing.
• Create regulatory frameworks, building codes, and development control guidelines.
• Lead scenario-based planning exercises to assess land-use mix, infrastructure phasing, and commercial feasibility.
• Design industrial zone operating models, including licensing frameworks and tenant approval processes.
• Develop financial models to evaluate the viability of large-scale master planning projects.
• Support business development and investor attraction strategies through market positioning and value chain mapping.
• Design investor service journeys and internal operational workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in master planning, industrial zone development, or economic zones.
• Proven expertise in regulatory frameworks, building codes, and governance structures.
• Strong financial modeling and feasibility assessment skills.
• Experience in scenario planning, infrastructure phasing, and land-use optimization.
• Excellent graphical representation and planning communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Real Estate Development, or an MBA.
• Previous experience working within the GCC region.
• Professional certifications in project management or financial modeling.
• Background in logistics zones, manufacturing clusters, or special economic zones.
