Master Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on powder coating booths, ovens, conveyor systems, extrusion machines, and grinders
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues to implement effective solutions
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize production downtime
• Coordinate with production, safety, and quality departments to ensure equipment reliability and compliance
• Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, spare parts usage, and machine overhauls
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and equipment performance documentation
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and plant safety standards
• Participate in capital project planning, installation, and equipment commissioning

Requirements

• 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience
• High School Diploma (minimum)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC basics
• Demonstrated expertise in powder coating equipment, extrusion lines, and grinding systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or mechanical engineering
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and parts inventory management
