Master HVAC Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of applied HVAC equipment on job sites
• Conduct depot maintenance, testing, and repair on all applied equipment
• Perform live circuit troubleshooting of applied equipment up to 1000 tons
• Provide remote technical support and customer education
• Perform job site walks to support equipment sales
• Commission low temperature applications, water-cooled chiller projects, and advanced air-cooled chiller projects
• Plan and install cold storage systems and slip stream projects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training
• 5-15 years of experience as a Service Technician in a commercial environment
• 5+ years of experience in chiller/HVAC maintenance or mechanical engineering
• Electrical knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld computers (Smartphone, iPad)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in diverse conditions including extreme weather and high voltage environments

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer credentials
