Responsibilities

• Repair, overhaul, or modify complex off-road heavy mobile equipment
• Determine methods and techniques to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems
• Plan and improvise repair procedures for systems where standard guidelines do not apply
• Independently determine work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment
• Perform repairs, overhauls, or modifications of engines, transmissions, and other major systems
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify and replace defective electronic components
• Modify parts to fit and mesh into systems for which they were not specifically designed

Requirements

• Ability to exercise judgment and independence in solving complex repair problems
• Experience with complex mechanical and nonmechanical systems
• Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic equipment for electric and electronic systems
• Ability to travel to various sites to support local maintenance teams
