Responsibilities

• Repair, overhaul, or modify complex off-road heavy mobile equipment
• Diagnose and correct defects in complex mechanical and nonmechanical systems
• Plan and improvise repair procedures for systems without existing guidelines
• Modify parts to fit and mesh into systems for which they were not specifically designed
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify and replace defective electronic components like chips and sensors
• Independently determine work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment for extensive repairs

Requirements

• Ability to exercise judgment and independence in solving complex maintenance problems
• Experience with engines, transmissions, or other major vehicle systems
• Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic equipment for electric and electronic systems
• Willingness to travel to various sites to support local maintenance teams
