Master Data Management, Data Steward

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of customer data across all systems in alignment with data governance policies.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategy, prioritize data projects, and act as the voice of the customer to the data team.
• Lead backlog grooming sessions and negotiate sprint plans based on team capacity.
• Triage and troubleshoot data issues using system-level knowledge and perform cross-system data reconciliation.
• Define data quality frameworks, including metadata, reference data, standards, and de-duplication rules.
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics, KPIs, and SLAs through dashboards.
• Conduct training for business and IT users on data standards and governance practices.
• Support the automation of data quality checks and lifecycle workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM) with a proven ability to maintain governance and compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms, specifically Oracle and/or SAP.
• Advanced communication skills, including the ability to present to and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong knowledge of database maintenance, ERP interfaces, and data governance frameworks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in Data Management (e.g., DAMA) or ERP Systems.
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
• Experience in process improvement or automation projects.
• Proficiency with reporting and dashboarding tools.
