About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate live and recorded programming for broadcast
- Maintain on-air operations including commercials, network, and local programming
- Monitor multiple channels to ensure regulatory compliance and quality signals
- Follow FCC monitoring and EAS procedures
- Maintain program and transmitter logs
- Execute, edit, update, and append playlists
- Acquire content from various distributors
- Report equipment issues and transmission discrepancies
Requirements
- Mandatory computer literacy and software experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Aptitude for operating electronic equipment for broadcast and production
- Ability to learn specialized software applications
- In-person attendance is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to television station operations and newscast production
- Operational knowledge and experience with master control activities and functions
- Related military training and experience
