About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret quantitative and discovery mass spectrometry experiments for diverse biomedical research projects.
- Train and mentor researchers in sample preparation, instrument operation, and data analysis to build user independence.
- Troubleshoot and maintain nano and regular flow HPLC and mass spectrometers to ensure high-quality data.
- Adopt emerging mass spectrometry methodologies and optimize workflows.
- Contribute to scientific reports, publications, and grant applications.
- Support day-to-day facility operations, including laboratory organization and compliance.
Requirements
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related bioscience (completed or near completion).
- Strong background in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry.
- Well-developed skills in biomolecular sample preparation, purification, and enrichment.
- Experience operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting high-end HPLC and LC-MS systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Proteome Discoverer, DIA-NN, Spectronaut, LipidSearch, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong scientific writing and documentation skills for manuscripts and technical reports.
