Responsibilities

  • Drive experimentation across lifecycle, referrals, onboarding, engagement, retention, and growth operations
  • Build systems, workflows, and automation that improve the speed and effectiveness of the Marketing team
  • Own and execute lifecycle marketing strategy across onboarding, activation, engagement, referrals, retention, and winback
  • Strategically improve Base’s referral program through experimentation and customer experience optimization
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve workflows and operational leverage
  • Build operational infrastructure that improves measurement, reporting, attribution, and funnel visibility
  • Partner closely with Growth, Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and Support teams
  • Improve instrumentation, event tracking, and data quality across growth systems

Requirements

  • Highly execution-oriented with a focus on building and improving systems
  • Proven experience building workflows, operational systems, or lifecycle programs
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to identify operational bottlenecks
  • Strong analytical ability with comfort working with data, funnels, and attribution
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Technical fluency and curiosity to learn new tools and work with technical teams
  • High ownership and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lifecycle marketing systems like HubSpot, Braze, Customer.io, or Iterable
  • Experience building or scaling referral programs
  • Experience with AI workflows or operational automation
  • Proficiency in SQL and product analytics platforms like PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks and funnel analysis
  • Experience operating in high-growth startup environments
