About the role

Responsibilities

  • Strategize, develop, and implement annual marketing plans to publicize programming and events.
  • Develop and implement the institute's social media strategy to align with overall communications goals.
  • Craft compelling written and visual content that tells the stories of the institute, its people, and its impact.
  • Create visually compelling designs across both print and digital media.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using various digital tools and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Present work and proposals clearly to key stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing budgets and workload effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience related to marketing and communications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) and modern design tools.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing successful marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating engaging video content for social media from concept through final editing.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Photos).
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Management software.
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines for print and online media.
  • Experience working within a higher education environment.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work schedule (on-site requirements apply during the first six months and thereafter).
  • Competitive salary range of $56,800 - $71,000 based on experience and equity.
