About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex email and SMS marketing programs in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) using Journey Builder and Automation Studio.
- Architect and manage data extensions, data flows, and integration pipelines between SFMC and upstream CRM or CDP platforms.
- Build and maintain reusable AMPscript and SSJS libraries and dynamic content blocks to accelerate campaign velocity.
- Develop REST and SOAP API integrations to synchronize subscriber data and enable real-time personalization.
- Implement CRM governance practices, including data quality standards and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CASL.
- Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to translate campaign requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics to drive continuous optimization of programs and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Advanced proficiency in AMPscript and SSJS for dynamic content and personalization logic.
- Strong working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs for CRM integrations.
- Experience designing relational data extension schemas and using SQL-based audience filters.
- Solid understanding of email deliverability principles (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Developer, or Consultant).
- MBA or advanced business degree.
- Experience with CDP or data lake integrations feeding CRM activation layers.
