Marketing and Development Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of season-long marketing campaigns and game-day promotional activities
• Design digital and print marketing collateral, including social media graphics, posters, and digital signage
• Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, student organizations, and community partners
• Support corporate partnership initiatives through prospecting, proposal creation, and asset activation
• Enhance the fan experience through grassroots marketing, game-day contests, and entertainment
• Manage and coordinate appearances for the university mascot, Ernie the Eagle
• Support student spirit clubs and administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and maintaining contact lists
• Assist with ticket sales, including kiosk setup and group fan experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
• A "Fans First" mindset and a strong willingness to learn in a team environment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to align with game schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva
• Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, and TikTok
• Previous experience with fan engagement and game-day operations

Benefits

• Total compensation of $25,200 for the 10-month duration (July to May)
• Optional university meal plan (taxable)
