Leap is on a mission to decarbonize the world’s electric grids by building and scaling virtual power plants (VPPs). Their software platform facilitates automated access to energy markets across the U.S., helping partners unlock new revenue and support electric grids.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for participation in wholesale electricity markets and state/utility-run programs
• Build and manage financial revenue models, including monthly accruals, forecasts, and reconciliations
• Coordinate monthly partner payment activities
• Engage with external stakeholders such as state regulators and program administrators
• Develop short and mid-term market strategies to drive customer base and revenue growth
• Drive cross-functional coordination with internal teams to achieve company growth targets

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in wholesale energy markets, energy economics, energy trading, or energy management
• Strong analytical, data, and financial modeling skills
• Familiarity with Demand Response and Distributed Energy Resources trends
• Degree in business, finance, energy economics, engineering, or a related field
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with California ISO (CAISO) and California state agencies (CEC/CPUC)
• Experience with NYISO, ERCOT, MISO, or PJM markets
