Market Innovation Director

Responsibilities

• Identify and shape new market opportunities by synthesizing insights from internal and external innovation sources
• Convert broad market trends and emerging technologies into compelling, value-creating business concepts
• Develop investment cases and secure alignment from senior leadership for new market entries
• Build and maintain a balanced portfolio of emerging opportunities, evaluating trade-offs between incubation and new growth areas
• Propose and evaluate strategies for capability acquisition, including M&A, partnerships, and joint development
• Establish and cultivate innovation channels such as venture capital, research institutes, and strategic partnerships
• Influence cross-functional teams to pursue bold, forward-looking opportunities aligned with strategic goals

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic commercial roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven track record of closing complex enterprise deals and managing multi-million dollar pipelines
• Strong strategic marketing background with success in identifying and adopting emerging technologies
• Ability to influence senior leaders and maintain a strong executive presence
• Willingness to travel internationally
