Market Development & Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Execute the Writing Segment’s annual sales and profit budget by translating market insights into high-level sales strategies.
• Support the execution of the Segment’s 3-year strategy and annual brand plans.
• Develop Category Playbooks and tactics to drive growth for both the segment and retail customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and align resources to capture incremental growth.
• Partner with Brand Marketing and Finance to develop pricing and promotion strategies.
• Define channel and customer product assortments to maximize shopper reach and shelf share.
• Prepare for monthly S&OP Demand Reviews to improve sales forecast accuracy.
• Assist in preparing for high-value customer negotiations and develop global sales stories.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in market planning, brand management, or similar roles.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in P&L management.
• Advanced knowledge of the US retail customer landscape.
• Experience working with syndicated POS and Panel data.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or durable goods company.
