About the Company

Leap is on a mission to decarbonize the world’s electric grids by building and scaling virtual power plants (VPPs). Their software platform facilitates automated access to energy markets across the U.S., helping partners unlock revenue and support electric grids.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing new market and product opportunities for VPP technology
• Cultivating relationships with Utilities, Retailers, and other energy buyers in North American markets
• Working across internal teams and with partners to achieve market entry success
• Tracking market trends to identify future opportunities and expand Leap’s presence
• Organizing market and product information to provide input to Product, Engineering, and Operational teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in wholesale electricity markets, policy, utility demand response, or Distributed Energy Resources
• Ability to investigate and synthesize complicated policies and market rules
• Proficiency in policy analysis, market research, and data analysis
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with North American, Japan, UK, or European markets
• Experience tracking and advocating in regulatory proceedings in the energy sector
• Experience working in remote or hybrid environments across time zones
