Market Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance complex market data infrastructure, specifically focusing on LSEG TREP and related distribution systems.
• Develop architectures and solutions for low-latency, high-availability market data delivery platforms.
• Analyze and resolve real-time data delivery issues, including feed gaps, latency, and symbology mismatches.
• Implement automation using UNIX/Linux scripting to monitor and maintain infrastructure health.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to optimize multicast/unicast data distribution and bandwidth utilization.
• Drive improvements in system resiliency, failover, and recovery capabilities.
• Support complex system upgrades for TREP components, feed handlers, and middleware.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience.
• 4 years of experience with market data platforms, specifically LSEG TREP (Thomson Reuters Elektron).
• 4 years of experience with market data concepts, including real-time pricing, feed handlers, and data normalization.
• 4 years of UNIX/Linux engineering experience, including shell scripting (ksh, bash).
• 2 years of networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, multicast, and low-latency transport.
• 2 years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or ITRS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional market data vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE, or Tradeweb.
• Programming proficiency in Java or Python for platform development.
• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, and trading workflows.
