About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance complex market data infrastructure, specifically focusing on LSEG TREP and related distribution systems.
- Develop architectures and solutions for low-latency, high-availability market data delivery platforms.
- Analyze and resolve real-time data delivery issues, including feed gaps, latency, and symbology mismatches.
- Implement automation using UNIX/Linux scripting to monitor and maintain infrastructure health.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to optimize multicast/unicast data distribution and bandwidth utilization.
- Drive improvements in system resiliency, failover, and recovery capabilities.
- Support complex system upgrades for TREP components, feed handlers, and middleware.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience.
- 4 years of experience with market data platforms, specifically LSEG TREP (Thomson Reuters Elektron).
- 4 years of experience with market data concepts, including real-time pricing, feed handlers, and data normalization.
- 4 years of UNIX/Linux engineering experience, including shell scripting (ksh, bash).
- 2 years of networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, multicast, and low-latency transport.
- 2 years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or ITRS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional market data vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE, or Tradeweb.
- Programming proficiency in Java or Python for platform development.
- Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, and trading workflows.
