Market Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enhancements to the Security Master Platform to improve data quality and scalability.
• Design and implement robust ETL pipelines to extract and transform reference data from Bloomberg Data License and other vendor APIs.
• Build and maintain RESTful services using C#, .NET Core/.NET 8+, and Minimal APIs.
• Write and optimize complex, high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, and schemas for large-scale financial datasets.
• Deploy and support cloud-native applications on AWS using EC2, IAM, S3, and Redis.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and resolve production issues to minimize impact on trading and risk systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET 8+.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning.
• Proven experience working with financial reference data and various asset classes.
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines for ingesting and validating financial market data.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, Redis) and containerization using Docker.
• Proficiency in developing modern web applications using React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Git and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with other market data providers such as LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P, or ICE.
• Proficiency in scripting languages to automate file transfers and operational workflows.
• Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for enterprise applications.
• Understanding of infrastructure automation and release management processes.
