Market Access Lawyer

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate market access agreements including PBM, payer, GPO, and wholesaler contracts
• Provide legal guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and government pricing obligations (Medicaid Best Price, AMP, ASP, 340B)
• Advise on coverage, coding, and reimbursement initiatives in partnership with HEOR and pricing teams
• Counsel clients on patient support and co-pay assistance programs regarding Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
• Collaborate with commercial, medical, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Manage legal issues related to pharmaceutical pricing and payer contracting
• Stay updated on federal and state regulatory developments impacting market access

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house at a pharmaceutical or biotech company
• Significant experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or government pricing
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, FDCA, Anti-Kickback Statutes, and the False Claims Act
• Proven track record negotiating PBM, payer, and GPO agreements
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid Best Price, AMP, ASP, 340B, and VA/FSS programs
• Familiarity with value-based contracting and innovative reimbursement models
• Understanding of specialty pharmacy and distribution channel relationships
