Maritime Certifications and Flag Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative activities related to ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 frame agreements with certification bodies and flag administrations.
• Support Vessel Masters and OIMs during the ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 certification processes.
• Conduct specific shipboard surveys and studies for ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 as required.
• Perform internal audits and inspections according to the annual plan to ensure compliance with flag requirements.
• Report vessel incidents to flag administrations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory tools.
• Conduct onboard Minimum Safe Manning assessments.
• Support vessels with Flag Certificates and official documentation.
• Monitor safety, security, and labor management systems.
• Implement management procedures for Flag inspections and Port State Control.
• Research maritime laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
• Issue audit findings, follow up on rectification measures, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid Internal Auditor Certificate for ISM, ISPS, and MLC 2006 from a recognized training provider.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in maritime certification or compliance.
• Advanced English language skills (written and verbal).
