About the role

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor the performance, accuracy, and behavior of AI models in production to ensure alignment with marine standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of AI outputs to identify anomalies, recurring error patterns, and potential bias issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain governance frameworks for new and existing AI models in collaboration with the Data Governance team.
  • Participate in structured testing of AI model outputs, validating that classifications and recommendations align with real-world marine operational requirements.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and AI teams to drive continuous improvement in model monitoring, governance, and reporting processes.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables for AI and data initiatives, ensuring milestones are met and blockers are addressed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in maritime assurance, vessel operations, safety, and incident investigation.
  • Strong understanding of global maritime standards, PSC regimes, and inspection frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with vessel inspections (e.g., RISQ or SIRE) is highly desired.
  • Analytical precision with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex marine concepts to non-marine audiences.
  • A quality assurance mindset with experience in testing and data accuracy.

  • Experience influencing product development or data-driven innovation.
  • A deep curiosity about AI, data science, and the intersection of human insight and machine learning.
