About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect new business and manage existing accounts within the South Florida Marine market
- Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and yearly sales plans to drive territory growth
- Conduct product demonstrations and support customer application requirements
- Identify sales leads and manage customer complaints through to resolution
- Travel extensively (at least 75%) throughout the South Florida territory, including Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Daytona, and the Florida Keys
- Perform field work on ships, which includes entering/exiting vessels and climbing ladders
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Minimum of 1 year of B2B sales experience
- Ability to travel 75% of the time
- Physical ability to climb ladders and enter/exit ships
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience specifically in the marine coatings industry
- Knowledge of multiple corrosion prevention solutions
- Completion of the AMPP Coatings Inspector Program or NACE/SSPC certification
- Proven success in managing large territories or commercial marine accounts
