Marine Insurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all marine insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and timely renewals
• Coordinate and handle insurance claims, working with underwriters, surveyors, and legal teams
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on insurance-related risk management strategies
• Develop and implement insurance policies and procedures aligned with company objectives
• Maintain accurate records of insurance contracts, claims, and correspondence
• Monitor changes in marine insurance regulations and market trends
• Collaborate with operations, legal, and finance departments to ensure compliance
• Negotiate insurance premiums and terms with brokers and insurers to achieve cost-effective solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marine insurance management, preferably in the maritime industry
• Strong knowledge of marine insurance policies, claims handling, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in relevant insurance and risk management software
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities
