About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of marine works including dredging, reclamation, quay walls, marinas, and beaches
  • Conduct detailed examinations of hull structures, propulsion systems, safety equipment, and navigational instruments
  • Analyze inspection findings and prepare accurate, detailed reports documenting observations and non-conformities
  • Collaborate with ship owners, operators, and regulatory agencies to implement corrective actions
  • Utilize advanced inspection tools and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Participate in safety meetings and provide expert advice on marine safety matters
  • Travel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationally as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marine inspection or a related maritime role
  • In-depth knowledge of international maritime standards, regulations, and inspection techniques
  • Relevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, FROSIO, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in relevant inspection software and tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report writing skills
  • Physical fitness to perform inspections in diverse and challenging marine environments

  • Familiarity with UAE maritime regulations and standards
