Marine Cargo Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling of cargo and take measurements to complete calculations for accurate reporting
• Provide independent assessment of the quantity and quality of materials including Crude Oil, Petroleum Products, Petrochemicals and Petroleum Gases
• Follow standard practices for measurement activities including visual observations, volumetric/temperature measurements, and representative sampling
• Record and report results to determine accurate load, discharge, and transfer quantities
• Work as part of a 24/7, 365-day operational team
• Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, clients, and third parties regarding operations and potential delays

Requirements

• Physical resilience and adaptability for demanding outdoor work
• Flexibility to work irregular hours in a 24/7 operational environment
• Experience in Oil and/or Chemical related industry or prior inspection experience
• Alternatively, experience working at sea or relevant science/nautical qualification
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Full valid UK driving license
