About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of manual or automated tooling fixtures under engineer supervision
- Support engineering evaluations including tolerance checks, GR&R, and basic DOE activities
- Help prepare technical documentation such as drawings, BOM updates, and preventive maintenance sheets
- Collect and analyze production or lab data to support tooling improvement projects
- Provide hands-on assistance with lab prototypes, basic assembly, and test preparation
- Support engineers in vendor coordination, including data preparation and receiving samples
- Assist in preparing review materials like FMEA and concept review slides
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field)
- Basic understanding of mechanical or manufacturing engineering fundamentals
- Beginner level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data entry and presentations
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn
- Good communication skills; English proficiency is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior project work, university lab experience, or technical club involvement
- Beginner level understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Familiarity with ISO concepts
