About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training, including classroom instruction and on-the-floor demonstrations for wiring, assembly, and tool usage.
  • Assess and certify employee competency through structured practical assessments and knowledge checks.
  • Drive training effectiveness by applying evaluation frameworks to measure impact and identify skill gaps.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to align training initiatives with production goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Reinforce a culture of safety and quality by championing EHS compliance and standardized work practices.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records and manage LMS administration, including scheduling and learner transcripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Education, or a related field, or equivalent technical/manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (wiring, assembly, fabrication, or quality control).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and standardized work instructions.
  • Proven experience delivering instructor-led or technical training in a production setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for record-keeping and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, inspection standards, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience working specifically with electrical distribution equipment.
