Manufacturing Test & Production Engineer

About the Company

Etched is building AI chips that are hard-coded for individual model architectures. Our first product (Sohu) only supports transformers, but has an order of magnitude more throughput and lower latency than a B200. With Etched ASICs, you can build products that would be impossible with GPUs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ASIC design and software teams to design and implement test stations for system-level and server burn-in testing
• Develop diagnostic tests and detailed test plans to ensure efficient production line flow
• Architect end-to-end production line flow and throughput models in collaboration with ODMs
• Optimize test time, yield, and coverage to achieve ideal ramp conditions
• Analyze test data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvements
• Refine throughput models to ensure production meets demand while optimizing resource utilization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing test or production engineering in the semiconductor or electronics industry
• Strong understanding of system-level and functional testing methodologies
• Experience working with ASIC design and software teams on testing strategies
• Ability to architect production line setups and capacity planning with ODMs
• Proficiency in data analysis tools for optimizing yield and throughput
• Hands-on experience with server-level testing and diagnostics
• Familiarity with automation tools for production lines
