About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the test coverage strategy for all custom PCBAs across the product line
  • Design, validate, and deploy bed-of-nails ICT and FCT test fixtures in collaboration with overseas vendors
  • Partner with electrical and firmware teams to define test hooks, firmware test modes, and diagnostic coverage
  • Specify and validate test software, including automated sequencing, result logging, and failure triage
  • Serve as the on-site test lead at contract manufacturers (CMs) during NPI builds to debug and improve throughput
  • Monitor test yield data and drive root cause analysis for failures to recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure test processes scale effectively from EVT through mass production (MP)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing test, specifically with high-complexity boards
  • Hands-on experience with ICT and FCT system design and board-level debug
  • Strong understanding of Design for Testability (DFT) principles
  • Proven experience working directly with overseas contract manufacturers and test vendors
  • Proficiency in Python for interfacing with hardware and automating test processes
  • Ability to read schematics and perform hardware probing/debugging
  • Willingness to travel overseas approximately 40% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience using Altium for PCB design
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical, or CATIA
  • Experience with embedded programming for DSPs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs
  • Background in robotics or other high-tech hardware industries
