Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes, and take corrective action to resolve problems
• Recognize quality issues and make adjustments to ensure excellent product quality
• Perform general upkeep on equipment to improve reliability and process consistency
• Apply manufacturing process knowledge to achieve and exceed production targets
• Perform material handling, including proper packaging and labeling of products
• Tie on or splice ends to repair breaks in creel and throughout the production line
• Inspect for splices in fiber moving from creel to winders
• Set up fiber paths using production forms for placement from creel to winding

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and consistently climb stairs
• Ability to sit or stand for 10 to 12 hours
• Ability to pass Essential Function Testing and meet respirator fit requirements
• Ability to operate computers and related systems

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in fiber or web handling (nonwovens, textiles, fabrics, plastic sheeting, or paper)
