About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain specialized CNC/NC machines including PUMA lathes, Makino milling, and various grinding and hobbing machines.
  • Perform precision machining to tight aerospace tolerances in compliance with blueprints, GD&T standards, and customer requirements.
  • Provide OJT coaching, mentoring, and competency validation to build skills during brownfield transition periods.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to refine processes, validate tooling, and improve work instructions.
  • Set up and operate precision measuring equipment such as Taylor Hobson and Wenzel CMMs to ensure first-pass quality.
  • Maintain accurate shop travelers, inspection records, and production documentation.
  • Support brownfield ramp-up by executing machining operations for transferred parts and providing feedback on process documentation.

Requirements

  • NITEC or Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a precision engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work weekly rotating shifts.
  • Basic command of written and spoken English.
