Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining operations including surface grinding, polishing, cylindrical grinding, and centerless grinding on sapphire components
• Interpret travelers, work orders, blueprints, specifications, and process instructions
• Operate machines to cut, chamfer, smooth, and size parts according to customer specifications
• Conduct in-process inspections using visual and dimensional checks to ensure parallelism, angle, concentricity, and thickness meet standards
• Maintain equipment through daily upkeep, adjustments, and cleaning
• Accurately document data and maintain comprehensive production records
• Handle material movement and transport parts to designated locations

Requirements

• At least one year of hands-on machining experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in shop mathematics, including fractions, decimals, rates, and ratios
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
• Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using micrometers and calipers is a plus
• Ability to work the second shift
